I have been offline over the last week or so mainly concentrating on the Australian corporate reporting season……and this week has been pretty solid….(and this coming week is the big one for results) ….with the heavyweight resource stocks, RIO & BHP, reporting big numbers but both CEO’s not feeling as confident about the future…Telstra’s result was ok, but expect to see some weakness after the dividend goes ex on 20th February….and the banks continue to show the stresses and strains of a new world where cost of money is rising and growth in lending is falling…..just as fast as their approval ratings….(and the RBA becomes irrelevant)…
It’s just nice to be able to focus on individual companies rather than macro stuff that has been dominating the headlines………
